Work situations that make your blood boil, body changes nobody prepared you for, pop culture opinions held with unreasonable conviction, and the general absurdity of being a grown woman who still hasn't figured out what she wants to be when she grows up. Honest, unfiltered, and occasionally petty in ways that are entirely justified.-
Quarantine This Birthday
Quarantine killed the birthday plans, which was fine by me. Turning 40-something is weird enough without a pandemic forcing you to sit with it.

Mask Off – F*ck It – Mask On
Our new normal is wearing masks. Just a few days ago, I wrote about mixed messages and people not wearing masks because the formal consensus was that they were not necessary. Days later, the news is you’d better wear your masks! Irritating, but I’ll take it in the interest of public safety.

The COVID Diaries Day 10
Day 10 of quarantine. My routine hasn't changed much. The garbage disposal is dripping. My sons only emerge for food. And my mother asked if I'd heard from the ex. I assume he's alive.

Have You Ever Worn the Mask?
Back in April 2020 I was already wearing a mask to the grocery store while nobody else was. I read between the lines of what the CDC wasn't saying. My trust issues finally paid off.
