Low Blow…
Being told my contributions were negligible was a low blow. Anyone ever recall being told to their face that their efforts in a project were forgettable? Unnecessary? Pointless? A wasted effort? Try being told that by your husband and father of your children. If nothing made me want out of that marriage before, that statement certainly did.

The Bentleys, the Hummers, the Benz
Bentleys, the Hummers, the Benz…I feel like I am in a rapper’s paradise. I drive around on streets filled with BMW’s, Range Rovers, Infinitis, Audis and Acuras. It boggles the mind.

Facebook is so yesteryear…
This is my Facebook rant. It is also an epic tangent as it began as a sentence in another post about another website altogether… I am bored with Facebook, I am bored of keeping tabs on who is drinking coffee, or who went to work but wish they hadn’t. I am bored with having to sift through the “top news”, which is really just the inane mental vomit of the people I know, to get to the one or two actually meaningful status updates from other people I know. 2012: A Look Ahead
2012: A Look Ahead. I don’t often mention what I read or where I lurk, but check out this guy’s post on the coming year. I fully agree, 2011 sucked on so many levels. Global, national and local events careened out of control, spawning bigger and worse levels of apathy from the global populace. To say 2012 is going to be loads better is putting pressure on a year for it to perform; thereby dooming it to fail from performance anxiety. Ghosts of New Years Past
I’ve brought in the New Year in Times Square, at a Night Out event in my hometown, at a house party, at home throwing my own party, and in a parking lot on the Navy base in Jacksonville because my husband had duty but I could sneak him away for a moment to wish him a Happy New Year and then drive back home alone.
