Trick or Treat…
All week I’ve been dreading instead of anticipating Halloween. I’m working on assignments and handling the extra workload as secretary of the Student Veteran Association on campus… so between that, homelife and studying for tests, I haven’t had many spare moments to focus on it!

However, it seems the stars are aligning so that I can have some fun. First, two days ago one professor extends a deadline by a week for some papers. Win!
Sleep has been a commodity in short supply this week too, with all the tests I had to take. Despite the lessened load, I was still really tired and short on options. During a late night break, I happened to check facebook and the megachurch (no exaggeration) down the road posted on my wall about their Fall Festival, and it looked promising. Good, that takes care of activities, I’m familiar with the community outreach event and what to expect, it was a mainstay at my old church (a mini-mega) back in Virginia before it imploded (that’s a story for another day) and I was curious to see how it would be.
The final boon arrived today when another professor gave his quiz at the beginning of class and ended early giving me an extra two hours that I didn’t have so I could take a nap! The universe wanted me to get out of the house and take my kids somewhere fun. My planned activities for the evening: major people watching, and Funnel Cake… always funnel cake 🙂
