Pandemic Graduation – Surprise, the Ex is Still an Asshole
My youngest son has graduated high school. Thanks to COVID-19 the graduation ceremony was first cancelled, then postponed, then it evolved into this weird drive-thru event at a race track.
Call for Concern
I got word that my time at home is coming to an end. The company is ramping up to reopen with delivery services and I will be in the first wave of employees that are going back to work. Inevitably feelings of regret for lost time follows.
The COVID Diaries Day 34 – The Epiphany
Day 34. I've been furloughed and I'm not in despair. Turns out when everyone is suffering together, there's no shame and no FOMO. I ran Maslow's pyramid. Turns out I'm doing okay.
Mask Off – F*ck It – Mask On
Our new normal is wearing masks. Just a few days ago, I wrote about mixed messages and people not wearing masks because the formal consensus was that they were not necessary. Days later, the news is you’d better wear your masks! Irritating, but I’ll take it in the interest of public safety.
The COVID Diaries Day 10
Day 10 of quarantine. My routine hasn't changed much. The garbage disposal is dripping. My sons only emerge for food. And my mother asked if I'd heard from the ex. I assume he's alive.
