I mean, they look at the bottom line when making decisions, but they weigh their decisions against the scale of the effect the decision will have on the people. I have worked for companies that on the surface look like they care, but when the shit hits the fan, it’s the non-salaried workers that pay the price.

It is that time of year – the day before the New Year, time to take stock and plan ahead. In particular, it is time to evaluate the last 10 years and figure out how to better approach the years to come. I figure I can’t do much worse than I already have, what do I have to lose?

I’ve been doing some reflecting, it’s that time of year between Christmas and New Years when attention is drawn to dissecting the past, looking back over memories of days gone by. Sometimes I look back and have a hard time believing specific pockets of time that happened were of my life.
