Sleep? What’s that?
Who’d have thought that I’d actually forgo sleep to get my work done? I have come a long way from the days of my youth. I know for sure that in the face of overwhelming odds I’d have rolled over and gone to sleep. So there is a lot to be said for being older and wiser. That and being a single mom I think helps me put all the whiny “OMG I can’t do it” bullshit into perspective when there is no one for me to rely on. If I don’t do it, it’s not getting done. Simple as that…

I feel pretty tired but I feel good about having knocked out so much work in one day. If I can knock the remainder out Sunday afternoon, I may actually have time to do some laundry before the beginning of the week! I still can’t believe I managed to churn out three quality papers today, and that was AFTER I went grocery shopping because I realized around dinner time that there was nothing to make in the kitchen to eat! I had been studying for a test since I woke up this morning, going over a review test and cross referencing my textbook with my notes for anatomy and my brain was fried.
Hungry and brain dead is not a good combo. I called my bro and dragged him with me to the Super H Mart (it’s an Asian grocery and the one here is WAY bigger than the one in NJ- suck it Cherry Hill) it has a food court. So first stop was dumplings, then shopping. Never buy food on an empty stomach. So we ate first! Yummy! Next stop Trader Joe’s and scored some additional vittles for the house.
Later, after the grocery run, I got some help from my bro dragging all the empty flattened boxes downstairs and into the back of my truck so I can take them to my storage unit on the way back from the testing center tomorrow. I drive a gas guzzler so if I can, I maximize each excursion. I sure packed a lot into my day!
