Sleep? What’s that?
Who’d have thought that I’d actually forgo sleep to get my work done? I have come a long way from the days of my youth. I know for sure that in the face of overwhelming odds, I’d have rolled over and gone to sleep. So there is a lot to be said for being older and wiser. That and being a single mom, I think, helps me put all the whiny “OMG I can’t do it” bullshit into perspective when there is no one for me to rely on. If I don’t do it, it’s not getting done. Simple as that.

I’ll sleep when I’m dead
I feel pretty tired, but I feel good about having knocked out so much work in one day. If I can knock the remainder out Sunday afternoon, I may actually have time to do some laundry before the beginning of the week! I still can’t believe I managed to churn out three quality papers today, and that was AFTER I went grocery shopping because I realized around dinner time that there was nothing to make in the kitchen to eat! I had been studying for a test since I woke up this morning, going over a review test and cross-referencing my textbook with my notes for anatomy, and my brain was fried.
Hunter, mostly gatherer
Hungry and brain dead is not a good combo. I called my bro and dragged him with me to the Super H Mart (it’s an Asian grocery and the one here is WAY bigger than the one in NJ- suck it Cherry Hill), it has a food court. So the first stop was dumplings, then shopping. Never buy food on an empty stomach. So we ate first. Yummy! Next stop, Trader Joe’s, and I scored some additional vittles for the house.
Doing the most
Later, after the grocery run, I got some help from my bro, dragging all the empty flattened boxes downstairs and into the back of my truck so I can take them to my storage unit on the way back from the testing center tomorrow. I drive a gas guzzler, so if I can, I maximize use out of each excursion. I sure packed a lot into my day!
