Conformity Destroys – the YOYO effect

Sometimes I get the sinking feeling that I have lost my creativity and have fallen into the rut of the status quo. I fear that adulting has cost me the spontaneity of youth, and all I have to look forward to is getting old.

And not the adorable old of the active senior, but rather the decrepitude of the mentally boring. The sad seniors confined to their easy chairs grumbling at the news. I weep at what my future may hold.

Beware the ravages of old age. The #yolo saying should have been #yoyo: you’re only young once. Because there is plenty you can do at any age. But there are only some things that you can do acceptibly when you are under forty.

It’s too late for me. Save yourselves!
