You Have Your Shit Together

I am always inspired by people who have their shit together. There have been different people at different stages of my life.

Currently, I am inspired by a recent acquaintance who has a satisfying home life, grown children who also seem well-adjusted, and when she speaks about her previous work experience, it is with a sense of satisfaction and achievement. I know I’m inspired because I am not envious. Instead, I see in her an opportunity to learn how to navigate this new life of mine. Part of me hopes that I will also learn through osmosis. That mere proximity will activate something in me that maybe I’ve had all along. Fingers crossed.
