Been a long time…

Well, I just noticed that it’s been an indecently long time since I have written. And I guess it’s high time I got it together and updated.

Its down to the last weeks before my husband returns from this latest deployment. I am excited and nervous. Nervous that he has a mental image of what the house we moved into almost a year ago looks like, and that the expectations are high. There’s still a lot of unpacked boxes and odds and ends I haven’t quite figured out what to do with in this new house.

It has been busy. It seems like every day a thousand things are on my to do list, and I am lucky if I accomplish three. I try to maintain a regular schedule, if anything just to give the kids a sense of normalcy within the routine of it all. I think I finally found the healthy balance of occupation and free time. But it still has me wishing I had about ten more hours in a day.

Basically, I can’t wait for him to come home. It will be nice getting things done with his help. Another rational adult that I don’t have to think for (at least not all the time *wink*). I’ll just pray the homecoming goes smoothly.
