These Boots Were Made For Walking

Hit 5,000 steps today and drop your achievement here — we’re cheering you on!

Recently, I started walking three times a week with one of my neighbors. Specifically, to get up off my ass and get moving.

This move was to get my steps in a few times a week. With days of rest in between. The irony is that thanks to my involvement on the neighborhood council, I currently don’t have days of rest. Technically, today, I should be sitting on my ass, or lying down reading a book, taking it easy. Instead, despite trying to do as little as possible because I’m pretty sure I’m coming down with a cold, I’ve hit 7k steps today anyway. And my day isn’t even over. Hurray me.
